Sims and Mac Donald have had a tweed especially woven for them.
They felt that a certain combination of brown and dark cream dog tooth check was missing from the various patterns and designs of tweed. so they designed the colour , size and weight ( 18oz) of the dog tooth check and asked a mill which also weaves cloth for the tweed supplier Porter and Harding in Scotland.
Therefore this is their own 'house' tweed and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
